When your data is collected and why

When you fill in a contact or comment form on this website, you are asked to provide your name and email address. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. Information sent over via the contact form will also be retained indefinitely for future reference, unless you request otherwise.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

We treat all data with the utmost care and take appropriate steps in compliance with data protection regulation to ensure it is kept safe. It is stored within our host provider’s data centre.

  • All data we collect is done so over encrypted connections (https).
  • All data is stored behind state of the art firewalls, managed by our host provider’s security team.
  • All data is access controlled to ISO27001 standards via our host provider.
  • All systems storing personal data have access logging maintained by the host provider.
  • All systems are subject to regular penetration testing and are monitored for vulnerabilities and attacks by the host provider.

Affected customers will be notified as soon as we are made aware of any data breach by our host provider.
